Through the Coalition’s efforts, the National Park Service designated the Trinity River in North Texas as a National Water Trail, and Trinity Coalition believes that developing the kayaking and paddleboarding opportunities featured on this site could eventually support extending that designation to Joe Pool Lake and its tributary creeks. Funding to establish and operate these recreational amenities is expected to come from charitable donations, revenue generated through equipment rentals and food sales, and possible support from regional government entities.
