The USACE Master Plan’s public comment record reflects support for a trail that would follow the shoreline and encircle the entire lake. The USACE has explicitly stated its support for this concept and its intent to work with partners to achieve it. Trinity Coalition is prepared to plan and develop the first phase of this trail in partnership with DORBA and the Texas A&M Master Naturalist chapters in North Texas, and proposes the formation of a Joe Pool Lake Nature Club to engage residents of Grand Peninsula, Mira Lagos, and Lake Ridge as volunteers.
